Kludt visit 2013

Ok, so it may have been a month since they visited... And no, I haven't forgotten to post pictures. It just may have moved to the bottom of my list of things to do :) Anyway, as I'm clearing off my camera for my upcoming visit to MN (more to come on that later), I figured I could at least put up some of my favorites. Sorry for the delay!

Happy Mom's Day!

This year the guys decided it was their turn to take care of the ladies!  Greg, Dave, Mark and Tim came over to our house Sunday morning to cook us a delicious Mother's Day brunch. There was a turkey breast, a (wonderful) beef roast, mimosas, pancakes, eggs, monkey bread, muffins, fruit, bacon and sausage... the list goes on and on. It was fantastic. And the best part was when they took the kids outside after we ate and left Mary, Shelly and I inside. Alone. And we actually had an entire conversation. Thanks guys, it was a great Mother's Day!

 

Happy birthday, Lily!

For Lily's first birthday we decided to keep it simple. A few family and friends, some food and cupcakes and we called it good. Although, leading up to it didn't seem quite so simple (right, Mom ;) )

Wade played with his buddy Jack while the grown-ups visited and oohed and ahhed over our friend's 5-week-old little girl, and Lily showed off her walking skills.

Lily ate lunch (Chick Fil A- told you we kept it simple!), loved her cupcake, posed for pictures, showed lots of interest in her presents (surprisingly) and even napped after it was all said and done. It turned out to be a great day! Happy birthday sweet girl. I can't believe it's been a year already!

By the way, thanks to my wonderful friend Katie, who was our official birthday photographer. She did such a great job :)
