Happy 10 months little girl! She's definitely turning into her own little person. Here's what she's been up to this past month:
In addition to Mama and Baba, she now says Dada. Mark couldn't be happier :)
She is communicating in other ways too- she can wave goodbye, shake her head no, give kisses (sometimes, and only by opening her mouth really wide and licking you :) ), and clap her hands (which she is very proud of).
She's slowly losing interest in baby food. She still loves plain Greek yogurt mixed with fruit purees (or baby food, that's pretty much the only way she'll eat it), but her absolute favorite is pieces of cheese. She uses both hands to shovel it in. As Mark says, "it's quite impressive." She also loves strawberries, mangoes, eggs, broccoli and bread. She'll tolerate peas and pasta, but won't have anything to do with bananas and avocados.
She loves to hold your fingers and walk- EVERYWHERE! She also has stood up without the assistance of anything or anyone and balanced for a few seconds before grabbing onto something.
She will also take steps behind her push toys. Slowly. She's a lot more careful than Wade ever was!
Putting things where she wants them to go. I remember when Wade started doing this. The ball goes in the ball popper, the block goes into the box, etc. She can actually put something into or on top of something else on purpose.
My favorite face she makes right now is when she's inspecting a new toy, she'll raise her eyebrows really high. It's like she's surprised at what she's just figured out. I'm probably not describing in quite right, but it's really cute.
She also expresses her opinion now, very strongly! If you take away a toy or food that she still wants, she cries or throws a baby tantrum. If you're holding her, she will flop around like a fish and yell. It's quite a fit! We left the park earlier today and she cried and cried. I really don't remember Wade doing that this early.
