Well, hello there!

We're still loving Christmastime and the cooler weather around here. Not that that means anything to those of you in MI or MN :) But, at least it's Texas cool!

Here is what we've been up to lately:

Lots of Christmas crafts this year. Wade & I made a sock snowman (Which made me reminisce about my old fouth grade team. We'd make these with our students every year :) ), a scrapbook paper tree (which was good for teaching Wade how to order the papers from shortest to longest), and painted a snowman with "snow paint." It's actually shaving cream mixed with elmer's glue. It dries really puffy and is actually very cool. I helped Wade with the Christmas tree and sock snowman, but he made the face and everything else on the painted snowman all by himself, it turned out pretty cute!

Wade's sock snowman. Notice him in the background making some type of booby trap with the Christmas ribbon.
...and distracted.

We've been trying to do something Christmas-y every day, just like last year. It's a little harder this year, trying to work around Lily's naps and such, but it's still working out and Wade & I are having fun :) We actually talked Mark into a real tree this year (as long as he doesn't have to cut it down himself), which we went and picked out at Lowes yesterday. Our trip involved Wade/ninja climbing onto and jumping off of any elevated surface, and doing fancy kicks and tumbles (in true ninja fasion) and then a full fledged tantrum as we left over chocolate milk/gatorade/his own small Christmas tree/you name it. Merry Christmas!

Lily is trying so hard to crawl, she wants to get around and chase after things so bad. She's able to balance up on her hands and knees now, and today she got up there herself. It's only a matter of time now!

Wade has really taken a liking to his sister lately. He wants to "play" with her all the time. Sometimes playing with her involves dumping his millions of stuffed animals all around her until she's so overwhelmed that she cries, sometimes he reads her a story, or sometimes he plays "put the blanket over the baby's head," which sounds dangerous, but it's actually his version of peek-a-boo and she finds it hilarious. Actually she finds anything that he does hilarious. It's fun to watch them interact more and more. Which there will be plenty of when she's mobile. Wade won't know what to do then, when he can't get rid of her :)

Terrible picture, but she's so pleased that he's hanging out with her.

Random picture of Wade setting up a battle.

Not letting me add any more captions again, sorry about that! Something weird is going on with Blogger. Or possibly (more likely) operator error.
