REPTICON!

Ok, so to me that sounds like a Transformer or some sort of evil robot, doesn't it?! Well, it's not. It's actually pretty far from it. Repticon is, in fact, a reptile exhibit. And sale, if you want to bring any of the little (or huge) guys home with you.

Someone gave Katie free tickets and we decided, "what the heck, we've got nothing better to do," so we drove to Taylor (about an hour away) and experienced REPTICON in all it's glory.

It was actually pretty small, just a bunch of reptile vendors (they are unique types)- but the animals were so cool! There were a million different types of snakes, lizards of all shapes and sizes, turtles, skinks, spiders, scorpions, millipedes, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, even ground squirrels. There were a few you could touch and/or hold and all the kids LOVED it! Even (especially) Lily. Of course she wanted to give them all kisses...

It was such a fun day. We all piled into one car and headed to REPTICON (I feel like it needs to be in all caps) and then to Louie Mueller BBQ for lunch, which was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network. It was a long wait, but the food was pretty fantastic. We came home late in the afternoon and the babies crashed out in the car while we bribed the older boys with games on our phones for just a little bit of quiet time. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend whose kids are so wonderful too! What a great Saturday :D
