When the weather outside is frightful

Winter fun! With all the rain and cold weather (it's all relative MI folks), we've been doing some inside stuff lately. And with two kiddos of different ages and different interests, well, we're doing a lot more of a lot! Here's what we have been up to:

Wade mining for crystals using a (very cool) crystal kit that he got for Christmas

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles happen to be a hit with both kids

Especially the ooze

Lily playing dress up. She accessorized with two tutus and a headband

Snow play dough! I made a few batches ("a few" is an understatement) for Wade's school and decided we needed some for home. It smells like peppermint and has iridescent glitter. Who wouldn't love that?

Something new- foam dough. It's like moon dough, just homemade. You take shaving cream, cornstarch, and if you want to stain your hands, food coloring, and mix! It crumbles like sand, but molds like play dough. Very cool!

Lily showing off how flexible she is. So flexible, in fact, that she can bite her own toes and make herself cry.

And just for you guys up north... When it gets nice outside, we head out to ride "bikes"

Or inspect caterpillars

Please note the same look of concern on both of their faces after much discussion and FINALLY agreeing to put the caterpillar in the tree so he could be safe and we could go inside and eat lunch.
