We finally did it! We let the kids stay up until they just couldn't keep their eyes open any longer. We have always thought about doing this and joked that Wade would be up until the next morning. But, we were wrong. All he wanted was to see the "big ball hit the ground." Alas, he never made it to midnight. He stayed strong until about 11:45. We tried and tried to wake him up to see the ball drop - we shook him, sat him upright, basically yelled for him to wake up and nothing worked. Never fear, we DVR'd it for him to watch the next day. However, I'm pretty sure he was a little disappointed in the actual ball dropping part. I think he was envisioning crashing and destruction and explosions...

| We made a big deal about it being New Year's Eve. So Lily picked out this special outfit just for the occasion. |
| Then we made cupcakes. Rainbow ones. With sprinkles. And pink and blue frosting, of course. |
| Showing off the inside of his rainbow cupcake. |
| Someone's had a little sugar... |
| Then, I planned a scavenger hunt. Lily didn't want to do it, so Wade followed all the clues which lead him to our party supplies! |
| Trying out the noisemakers. And yelling. |
| Wearing our new party crowns. |
| Even the dogs got to dress up. Riley is not too thrilled about this part... |
| Babe on the other hand, loves to accessorize. |
| Then we brought out the sleeping bags and watched Christmas cartoons and movies. Lily was out by the end of Frozen (about 10:30). |
| 10, 9, 8... Wade?! |
