Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas Tour 2014- CO edition

First stop:
12/6/14- Christmas Parade, downtown Woodland Park. Complete with floats, horses, army vehicles decorated in Christmas lights, fire barrels to warm yourself up by and fireworks at the end. Awesome!

Second stop:
12/13/14- Bass Pro to visit Santa. Lily wasn't having it. She would only get near him with all of us by her side (notice the tear glistening on her cheek), but when she told us she would be brave, we quickly ducked away. Wade just enjoyed the extra time with this extremely patient Santa.

All smiles AFTER the Santa visit is over and candy cane is in hand

Third stop:
12/19/14- Wade's Christmas Sing-a-long at Columbine Elementary. This is where Mark just happened to meet up with his buddy from middle school/college roommate. Very awesome coincidence and super-cool performance by the entire school (which all happen to fit together in the gym).

Fourth stop:
12/23/14- Our house to assemble and decorate a gingerbread house. With Lego help, of course. How else could we have gotten the job done?

Fifth stop:
12/24/14- Christmas Eve service at Impact Church. The kids were dressed up so nicely and did pretty well during the HOUR AND A HALF service. They are a fairly new church and hopefully are looking for suggestions on how to make their Christmas Eve sermon a little more family-friendly... At the end they had a performance by the kids complete with glow sticks, and an app that made your phone flash in sync with all the other phones, it was really cool. And on our way out, we even got to play with sparklers! Not expecting it to take so long, we headed out for pizza afterwards at our favorite local pizza joint, AJ's.

Sparklers!
Wade is right next to the little girl in the green dress. He could hardly stay in his seat and all but ran up to the stage when they called up the kids

Waiting for pizza
Last stop of the night:
Our house for sprinkling reindeer food on the lawn in our new pjs and leaving out milk and cookies for Santa.

Christmas Day-
Santa was here! Wade was so patient, watching cartoons while we waited for Lily to wake up. We finally ended up getting her up at 7:00 and they rushed downstairs to tear into their stockings. Wade was a tornado, going from one thing to the next. We tried (unsuccessfully) to slow him down by having him hand out gifts. Lily was just very confused about the whole thing. She did get the hang of it pretty quickly and really loved each and every new thing that came her way.
